Its been my first month and a half away from home, fending for myself in the big wide world of Wales and its been great :D never realised how much i loved animation before coming on this course and my dream of working for Disney has resurfaced :)

highlights of the past 2 months include....

joining the pirate society (basically you get drunk on rum while going ARRRR! Alot and hit the floor when some one yells "SHARK ATTACK!")

being awoken by a fire alarm at 5:20am because some one in our row of flats burnt some toast. About 90 people live in a row and for 10 minutes, while we stood out in the cold in just our pj's, 89 of us had a collective hatred towards one single person... we know where they live :lol:

having a dog get into the university, we found him running around the animation corridor and after chasing after him i managed to half pick him up just as the reception blokes came along... it was one of those "this is exactly what it looks like" moments lol

being introduced to wonder bras (omgthankyoubry) :D

many many disney talks :)

me walking into the kitchen to find the room full of smoke and my flat mate madly fanning the smoke alarm which didnt go off...

Toga night at the SU bar :D

Having the pirate society all shout THIS IS SPARTA! WOO! WOO! WOO! over and over again as we left the flats for a night out.... we have it on film too xD

My friend converted their flats utilities cupboard into a sex cupboard, on a pirate night 6 of us were crammed in there having drunken chats after alot of morgans rum (40% alchyhol :O)

starbucks... its putting us through uni... so are kitkat chunkies....

seeing up :crying: oh how we welled up...

seeing some one stab a hill, in the dead of night, with a big stalk that once had aload of brussel sprouts growing from it while shouting "take that mother land wales!" didnt know whether to laugh or be a tiny bit insulted... haha :D

My.... admirer.... :O

all i can think of but im sure there will be more

I just started college this fall. Can't say it's been quite as interesting for me. xD
I have had to suffer through quite a few firedrills, though. Only here, it's that people can't seem to stop burning popcorn. :P

lol we all wanted to kill them...WHO MAKES TOAST AT 5:20 IN THE MORNING?!?!?! lol it was funny seeing as my alarm clock makes the exact same noise, i rushed over to it and got very confused when it didnt go off, i was very close to deciding to stay in my room to die xD lol

The classes are alright, but I'm not liking sharing a dorm too much. ^^;
My roommate... has got a different build than me, so she's been opening the window to cool the room down and I'm just sitting here freezing my arse off. Dx

Lol. There's no way to mistake our fire alarm for an alarm clock. I swear that siren is the most terrible thing I've ever heard in my life. But hey, at least no one would be able to sleep through it in the event of a real emergency. xD

aw no T___T luckily in the UK we get to have our own rooms in a flat mostly. I suggest bed socks and waterbottles :)

yeah what i think happened was, it was wednesday which is student night in newport which is when you can get into clubs for free as long as you show em your student card so most people go out on wednesday night. it was the morning after that so i reckon some one came home at 5 still drunk and tried to make toast lol

lol my alarm is an old fashioned one that you wind up and its bloody loud, that morning was the most confusing 10 minutes of my life lol

Ah, I've been drinking so many bottled beverages since I got here. *Currently chugging a bottle of iced tea* xD Can't really trust the over-bleached public water supply :P

The weeknight of choice for students here is Thursday, which is a bit annoying because I have class at 8 AM on Fridays. It's really hard to sleep when everybody else in the building is in "Let's go party!" mode. T_T But at least none of them come back with cravings for toast. :D

A wind-up alarm clock? I thought those were extinct. xD

lol i did at first cos wasnt used to the water but can finally have a cup of tea without the funny taste :D good thing too as i live on it

haha we have a 10am lecture on thursday's. Our lecturer actually told us the other week "ok, i know on wednesdays its student night and i dont mind if your hungover and sleeping in the seat TURN UP TO MY LECTURES!" :lol: love the lectures at the mo but we keep learning things we dont expect to learn about like last week we had a lecture about walt disney and the week before that it was about the "elastic limbs" that cartoon characters used to have hehe

same here! i got a cheap one but it broke as soon as we got it out of the box then my parents went out and came back to my flat with it

me: ... you got me a dinosaur :O

its bloody loud tho makes you get out of bed fast i can tell you that lol

Incidentally, a cheap ballpoint pen works just as well.
